Reference: Hind 126 i/IV, before any numbers
Note: A Roman printing on a very rare watermarked paper, Robisson WM 61, dated late 1770's to mid 1780's. This image was created in 1776, so this could possibly be printed in the artist lifetime, certainly no later than a few years after his death. This bird's eye view was a radical composition of the time before any ability to have an aerial view of a subject. This challenged the artist to image the perspective and render it in a realistic manner.
Condition: Margins trimmed to slightly outside the plate mark. Small tear into the image on left. Sheet backed with very light japan paper. Very rich impression.
