Donald Forsythe

American , 1955 -

Donald Forsythe was born in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1955. He received a BS degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in Printmaking and Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Recent exhibitions include INK Art Fair, Miami Beach, Mark/Remarque (2010) and Intaglio a Go Go (2009), at the Free Library of Philadelphia; Drawn from the Sea, Aughinbaugh Art Gallery, Messiah College, Grantham, PA; Art of Ballinglen Fellows, Concord Art Association; Contemporary Expressions of Faith, Museum of Biblical Art, New York; Images from North Mayo, Courthouse Gallery, Ballinglen Arts Foundaion; Time Uncertain: Box Collages, Gallery at Penn College. Forsythe's prints and collages are included in collections at the American Bible Society, Auburn Arts Association, Ballinglen Arts Foundation, the Cathedral Church of St Stephen, Edinboro University, Evangel College, Gordon College, Graham Center Museum, Messiah Collage, North Carolina Print and Drawing Society, Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester Institute of Technology, the US State Department, Washington, and the Visa International Print Society. Don Forsythe is best known for his works in collage that incorporate printmaking and found printed materials gathered while traveling.
