Peter Aitkin

Canadian , 1858 - 1912

Born in Dundas, Canada, Aitkin was best known as a wood engraver. He studied his art under the instruction of Timothy Cole, before visiting Europe in 1887 and 1891, and then later studying and exhibiting in Paris in 1895. He was awarded a medal at the Chicago Exposition in 1893 and he exhibited at the Paris Exposition in 1900.
