Laurent de Brunhoff

French , 1925 -

French author and illustrator Laurent de Brunhoff was born in Paris in 1925. He studied arts at the Fine Arts Academie de La Grande Chaumiere then followed in the footsteps of his father, Jean de Brunhoff, author of the famed “Babar” stories. After the war, de Braunhoff began writing and illustrating more Babar books and also made posters, disk sleeves and carton characters for films. Since 1985, he has lived in the United States.
