Magali Lara

Mexican , 1956 -

Magali Lara lives and works in Mexico City. She received her B.A. from the National School of Applied Arts in Mexico City in 1977 and was immediately recognized as a new female voice in the arts, acknowledged with exhibitions at both commercial private galleries as well as key museums starting at the National Museum of Modern Art, Mexico City and the National Museum in Havana, Cuba. Her fame and worldwide acclaim grew with exhibitions during the past 30 years in South America, the Untied States and Europe. Her works are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, NY as well as the Centro Cultural Arte Contemporáneo, Mexico City.
