Born in 1909, Hyman Warsager was raised in New York and attended Pratt Institute of Art, the Grand Central School of Art and the American Artists School. From 1935 to 1939, Warsager was active in the New York City W.P.A. graphic arts division. He was one of six artists, in collaboration with Anthony Velonis, to develop serigraphy, the silkscreen process.
Warsager was a regular contributor to “The Masses”, and he exhibited at the Philadelphia Arts Alliance, the Philadelphia Print Club, the San Francisco Art Association and the Chicago Art Institute.
