Ed Baynard

American , 1940 -

Born in Washington, D.C., Ed Baynard, moved to Europe and lived mainly in Ibiza, Spain, Paris, and London. Over the years, he has designed clothing for Van Heusen, posters and graphics in London and worked for the Beatles at Apple. He also taught experimental art at École des Beaux- Arts, Paris, and sketched for Women's Wear Daily.

With a refined, elegant and decorative style, Ed Baynard depicts an equally refined and sophisticated set of subjects: flowers, plants, vases, and elaborately decorated containers in a static, super-realist manner. His paintings and prints show the influence of Eastern art in their decorative style, vivid colors, and use of line. He currently lives and works in New York City.
