Born in Madison, Wisconsin, David Storey has most recently lived and worked in New York City. From 1966 to 1968 he studied at the University of California at Berkeley. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1972 from the University of California, Davis.
Recently Storey's work has been included in exhibitions at the Noyes Museum and the Montclair Museum in New Jersey, the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock and the Morris- Healy Gallery, the Paul Morris Gallery and the Betsy Senior Gallery, all in New York. During the 1990’s Storey completed a number of lithographs at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
