Brazilian , 1952 -

The visual sophistication of Macaparana's work seems to be confronted with the fact that this Brazilian artist is self-taught. The artist was born into a family where his father's sewing workshop was his playground. The rulers, templates, chalks, needles and threads were the elements that guided the construction of his world and helped shape his perception of art.

Macaparana has exhibited in the main art galleries of Brazil, Mexico, Japan, New York and London; In addition, his works form part of the collections of several museums and private entities.
