Alexandre Arrechea graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) of La Habana. He was a founding member of the group of Cuban artists Los Carpinteros of which he formed part from its commencement until 2003 when he left Cuba. Today, he lives and works between Miami and New York.
