Martin Levine was born in New York City and currently lives on Long Island. He graduated from Buffalo State College and received his M.F.A. from the California College of Arts and Crafts. He has taught at State University of New York at Stony Brook, since 1986. He is a past president of the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA), and elected to the National Academy of Design. He has juried many exhibitions including the UK, Bulgaria, Poland, Yugoslavia, and the US. He has received over 120 National and International awards, including a National Endowment for the Arts in Printmaking.
