For more than three decades, Mary Ryan Gallery has represented an international roster of artists and important estates. A member of the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) and a founding member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA), the gallery deals in Post-War and Contemporary art, including Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop art, and early 20th-century British and American artists, with an emphasis on the Grosvenor School and British Modernists, Provincetown Printers, American art of the 1920s-1940s, and the best of children’s book artists.
Mary Ryan Gallery is active in the primary and secondary market, focusing on original prints and works on paper by Post-War/Contemporary artists, such as Willem de Kooning, Richard Diebenkorn, David Hockney, Yvonne Jacquette, Donald Judd, Deborah Kass, Sol Lewitt, Joan Mitchell, Takashi Murakami, Kiki Smith, Donald Sultan and Wayne Thiebaud, as well as early 20th-century British and American artists such as Sybil Andrews, Blanche Lazzell, Cyril Power and Lill Tschudi. The gallery represents the estates of Jean de Brunhoff, Hugo Gellert, Eli Jacobi, Louis Lozowick, Ethel Mars, Michael Mazur, and Maud Hunt Squire. We also organize traveling museum exhibitions and commissions for children’s book artists Laurent de Brunhoff and Peter Sis.
Over the years, the gallery has mounted hundreds of gallery exhibitions, published numerous catalogs, and worked on many museum exhibitions. The gallery continues to publish original, limited-edition prints.
