Ghada Amer

Egyptian (born 1963)

Ghada Amer was born in Cairo and now lives and works in New York City. Her art often deals with feminism, the ideas of feminine virtue and a re-formulation of the objectified female nude. Amer participated in the Whitney Biennial 2000 as well as many other renowned national and international art shows.
