Gunther Forg

German-born artist Gunther Förg studied at Akademie der bildenden Kunste in Munich and now lives in Areuse, Switzerland. Since his first solo exhibition in Munich in 1974, he has gained an international reputation as a printmaker, painter, photographer and sculptor. Although they are motivated by a critical mimicry of minimalism and modernist ideals, Förg's images actually exhibit the best of those minimalist qualities.
