Signed and annotated '1e etat' (of two). Superb impression of the first state. Our impression is printed with a vivid plate tone, and contrasts between the highlighted parts, such as the figure of Marguerite and the lantern, as in second state impressions. Only one impression of the first state was previously recorded by Duvivier
