The Flintstones and the Jetsons are two major influences on Kenny Scharf's work. Growing up in California in the '60s, Scharf was fascinated by TV and by that era's conception of the future. These childhood influences figure prominently in his surrealistic, pop style work which deals with earth and space, the natural and the artificial.
