Ray Richardson

Although the artist is London born, bred and educated there are connections in his work with other places; specifically Ireland (his maternal heritage) and USA (source of some musical inspiration and visual imagery). His paintings and prints are complex and beautifully constructed, often with immotive titles. Often in a cinematic format it is usual for the prints to be contained by a printed black border, making the ‘action’ within more dramatic. Richardson has been featured on two British television programs ‘Oil on Canvas’, 1997, BBC TV and ‘Fresh’,1998, Channel 4. He graduated from Goldsmith’s College in 1987 and has been exhibited regularly in Brussels, Paris and London ever since.
