Robert Austin

Etcher, engraver and lithographer, Robert Sargent Austin was born in 1895 in Leicester and studied under Sir Frank Short at the Royal College of Art. Women are often prominently featured in Austin’s work as in his 1926 engraving, “Before Mass.” He was the winner at the Prix de Rome in 1922.
