Richard Anuszkiewicz

Born in 1930 in Erie, Pennsylvania, Anuskiewicz is an American painter, sculptor and printmaker. He studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio from 1948-1953 and at the Yale University School of Art and Architecture in New Haven, Connecticut under Josef Albers from 1953-1955.
Anuskiewicz moved to New York in 1957 and worked for the Metropolitan Musuem of Art, NY as a conservator. He also worked for Tiffany & Co. from 1959- 1961 as a silver designer. He is considered by many to be a major contributor to the Op Art movement.
