Ernest Haskell

American painter and printmaker, Ernest Haskell was born in Woodstock, Connecticut. He was a well-known figure in New York and Paris during the early part of the 20th century. He was especially noted for his etchings, a skill he learned as a student of James McNeill Whistler. Haskell also designed promotional posters in watercolor.
