Okiie Hashimoto

Born in 1899 in the Tottori Prefecture, Okiie Hashimoto was an informal student of Unichi Hiratsuka. He graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1924.
Hashimoto’s prints usually contain subjects such as gardens, castles or temples. His works are simplified designs with large, flat areas. Hashimoto was a member of the Japan Print Society and Kokugakai.
