Meyer and De Vesme 6; Bromberg, 1993, 6, second state of three
300 x 428 mm; sheet 425 x 550 mm

Fine, brilliant impression, in the second state of three, printed on paper with fragment of watermark fleur-de-lis inside a crowned coat of arms, above the number 4 and the letters LV (B).
The platemark retains traces of ink and the corners are sharp and squared. In fine condition with wide margins all round, light trace of vertical fold at center. Dolo is a city of the Riviera del Brenta on the Terra Ferma west of Venice and east of Padua. Canaletto made various etchings showing views of the town. In this print he focuses on the oval-shaped basin that belongs to a lock in the River Naviglio del Brenta that flows through Dolo.
