Tomma Abts

Tomma Abts was born in 1967 in Kiel, Germany. She is predominantly a German Abstractionist artist. She has been awarded such prestigious awards as the Turner Award from the Tate in London, as well as the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award. Her work is represented in collections such as Carnegie Mellon Museum of Art (Pittsburgh), the Cubbitt Museum (London), the Museum of Modern Art (New York), 8 Sammlung Boros (Berlin), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Britain (London) and the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis).
