Joe Goode

American , 1937 -

Born in Oklahoma City in 1937, Joe Goode studied at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles from 1959 to 1961. In 1962 he had his first one-man exhibition at the Dilexi Gallery in Los Angeles. He was also included in the exhibition, “New Painting of Common Objects” at the Pasadena Art Museum. He exhibited at the Kornblee Gallery in New York in 1968 and in 1969 he was represented in the touring exhibition, “West Coast 1945-1969”, organized by the Pasadena Art Museum, which was shown at the Hamburger Kunstverein in 1971.

Goode was included in the “American Pop Art” exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York in 1974 and in 1987 he was represented in the “Pop Art” exhibition, shown in different Japanese cities.
