Don Freeman

American , 1908 - 1978

Don Freeman was a multi-faceted artist - he worked as an illustrator, cartoonist, lithographer and author. He was inspired by the illustrations of Honore Daumier and John Sloan and often depicted images of city life. During World War II he turned his talents to address issues related to the war, publishing many of his prints were published in military journals.
