Hermine David

French , 1886 - 1970

Granddaughter of the famous Neo-Classical painter Jacques Louis David, Hermine David was a relatively well-known printmaker and watercolorist. She lived in the United States for a while with her husband and fellow artist, Jules Pascin. After returning to France in 1920, she took a particular interest in book illustriations, which were quite well-received.
