Cherubino Borghegiano Alberti
Cherubino Alberti was an Italian artist. A trained etcher, he initially learned under his father and ultimately, at Cornelis Cort’s school. Attributed with more than 190 engravings, Alberti created the majority of his work between 1570-1580 and were printed first edition by the artist himself. The subjects of his works included those after Andrea del Sarto, Michelangelo, and Pellegrino. Alberti also worked as the official interior designer to the Pope.
