Waltercio Caldas

Brazilian , 1946 -

Caldas's artworks emerged during the 1960s in Rio de Janiero as part of the Neo-Concretism, an art movement which embodied the notion that art was to be a wholly sensorial and subjective experience. He works in a variety of media including sculpture, installation, books and drawings. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, and represented Brazil at the Sao Paolo Bienal in 1996 and the Venice Biennale in 1997. He currently lives and works in Rio de Janiero.
