Christopher Brown

American , 1951 -

American artist Christopher Brown was born at Camp Lejeune, NC in 1951. He received his BA from the University of Illinois in 1972 and an MFA from the University of California in 1976. In 1979 and 1981, he was awarded the Special Projects Grant in Art Criticism from the National Endowment for the Arts and in 1985 he received the Eureka Fellowship from the Mortimer Fleishhacker Foundation. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions including “History and Memory” at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in 1995 and “New Images in the Bay Area” at the Oakland Museum in Oakland, CA in 1979.
