Sadie Tierney studied printmaking at the Royal College of Art where tutors included Sir Terry Frost and Albert Irvin. Working in a tradition of English landscape painter/ printmakers she explores objects and places where form is linked to emotion and metaphor. Tierney's expressive prints and paintings spring from sketches and drawings made en plein air and are marked by their celebratory use of colour and line.
