Hannah Collins was born in 1956 in London. She lives and works between London, San Francisco and Barcelona.
A sculptor, photographer, and filmmaker, Hannah Collins creates works that explore and undermine the traditional boundaries and expectations of the various mediums she employs. Integral to her practice is the idea of rethinking the relationship between space, environment, and representation. Fascinated by representations of cultural and economic status, Collins’s work reflects an archaeological approach to the everyday, using everyday objects and patterns to evoke dynamic histories.
