Brice Marden

American , 1938 -

Born in 1938 in Bronxville, New York, Brice Marden is best known as a Minimalist painter of monochromatic appearing, non-objective canvases. He has also completed a number of prints. Marden completed undergraduate studies at Boston University's School of Fine and Applied Art and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale University's School of Art and Architecture before moving to New York in 1963.
