Stanley Kaplan was born in 1925 and currently lives in Levittown, New York. He studied at Cooper Union and Pratt Institute. Kaplan has been an artist since 1950 and he was a professor of art at Nassau Community College for over thirty years.
He is a past president of the Society of American Graphics Artists (SAGA) and a member of the Southern Graphics Council and the Print Club of Albany. His body of work includes prints, artists’ books and wood carved murals. Kaplan’s work has received many awards and he has had several one-person exhibitions in New York. His prints have been included in numerous group exhibitions in the United States, Europe and Asia.
